Welcome to our first circle.
Thank you for helping bring The Coping Club to life. This first cohort is a small group of family, friends and people who’ve joined through them, coming together to try practical exercises, share experiences and help shape future circles.
Your responses about the topics on your mind and the times that work for you helped us choose our first theme: Aging & The Future.
Aging & The Future
A month for looking honestly at growing older without assuming there is one correct path. We’ll explore money, pensions, housing, health, relationships and support networks, and together we will turn vague worries into clearer priorities, possible futures and choices we can begin shaping now.
You don’t need to have a plan or know exactly what’s worrying you. We’ll make room to explore that together.
Our weekly sessions
We meet online on Wednesdays at 18:30 Berlin time, starting on 30 September 2026. Allow around 45–60 minutes for each session.
Each week combines a guided exercise, time to reflect and space to share. The aim is to leave with something practical: a clearer picture, a useful tool or a small next step.
Each exercise stands on its own, while the monthly theme connects the sessions. Come to whichever sessions you can, there’s no catch-up required.
Follow each event link for the weekly topic, exercise and registration details.
What we ask of you
Sign up for the sessions you can attend. If your plans change, please update your RSVP.
Come as you are. You don’t need expertise, polished answers or previous experience of group exercises.
Give yourself space to take part. Join on time, ideally somewhere you can speak and listen privately. A laptop or tablet will make the shared exercises easier to use.
Help us learn. At the end of the four weeks, I’ll send a short survey. Honest feedback (including what didn’t work) is welcome.
How we care for the space
Keep personal stories private. Take your own learning with you, but don’t share other people’s stories or identifying details outside the circle. No recordings, screenshots or AI transcription tools.
Share only what feels comfortable. You can pass on any question or exercise, listen quietly or take a break. Nobody owes the group their story.
Listen with curiosity and respect. Speak from your own experience, avoid assumptions and make room for different backgrounds, identities and choices.
Ask before offering advice. Sometimes people want ideas; sometimes they simply want to be heard. We’re not here to diagnose or fix one another.
Share the airtime. Leave room for others, and let Yasmina and Kate know if something feels uncomfortable or crosses a boundary.
The Coping Club offers facilitated peer support and practical reflection. It isn’t therapy or a crisis service.
