Community agreements.
The container for our Circles. We’ll return to these when we open every Circle.
After a few Circles, presenting them will be in your body.
The 10 Agreements
01
Confidentiality outside the group
What’s shared in this room stays in this room. You can take what you learned about yourself, not what you learned about anyone else.
02
No subgrouping inside the group
We don’t process each other’s shares between sessions, not at lunch, not in the hall. If it needs to be said, it gets said in the group.
03
Agency over your own body
You can always modify, slow down, or step out of any exercise. You don’t owe us an explanation — you can just opt out.
04
Speak from your experience
When you share, speak from “I”. Not “people feel” or “we all know”.
05
Time discipline
We start on time and end on time. A one-minute warning isn’t cutting you off — it’s holding the container for everyone.
06
Witness, don’t compare
Notice what arises in you, but don’t measure your suffering against anyone else’s. We’re not in a hierarchy of pain.
07
No advice, no fixing, no similar stories
When someone shares, we witness. No advice, no attempts to help — even an unsolicited “me too” can take a share away from the person.
08
Sober presence
We meet sober — no alcohol or recreational substances during the day or the evening before group work.
09
Take care of yourself
Water, the bathroom, a moment outside — go. You don’t need permission. This is your week.
10
Distraction-free presence
Phones and watches off and out of the room during working blocks.
